The Parent Development Organization (PDO) is responsible for development and oversight of all fundraising events/campaigns held by St. Paul Cathedral School. PDO oversees fundraisers from planning stages, to implementation, to conclusion and final accounting. PDO makes policies regarding the control of all fundraising events, finds chairpersons for these events when necessary, and reports the status and results of fundraising efforts to the School Advisory Commission (SAC) and school administration.
PDO has up to 10 elected representatives, each serving a 2-year commission member term. The terms are set so at least 2 PDO positions will be open for election every year. The Principal and Cathedral Pastor serve as non-voting supervisory members of PDO. Elections for new members are held every spring. Any interested party must submit a letter of interest and intent to be considered for PDO commission membership. Candidates are elected by anonymous ballot by the parents and guardians of St. Paul Cathedral School students.
PDO meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month during the school year at 5:30 pm in the school library. PDO meetings are open for anyone to attend, and changes to time or place will be announced in the weekly school newsletter. Please contact the commission president or secretary with specific questions or about adding to the agenda.
