Dear New and Returning CTCS Families,
Welcome to our School Community! My wish for you this first school year is to quickly discover how you and your child BELONG! Our families come from all parts of the Yakima Valley. Some our Catholic, and others are not. Some have been here for generations, and some are new to the CTCS family, just like you! But all of us are drawn here by the same commitment to achieve an exceptional educational experience for our children in a safe, inspiring environment.
We have many fun activities throughout the year, and they exist because of the dedication by our parents and staff in creating an exciting learning environment for the children. We celebrate Veteran’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, and host Movie Nights, just to name a few. Our two large fundraisers, Elephant Ear Booth at the Central Washington State Fair and our annual Mardi Gras Dinner Auction are immensely successful and FUN to be a part of! I encourage you to consider what you would enjoy most, and go for it! The time commitment we ask of you during the school year is nominal, and the reward for our children and the appreciation from the staff make an immeasurable difference in our sense of pride and community.
I will close by letting you in on an important piece of information…I am a CTCS parent too! My unique perspective of being a parent, a teacher and now Principal has provided me with incredible insight into each aspect of the inner workings of our school community. What you can expect from me and your staff is an expectation of achieving and exceeding high academic goals, faithful and thoughtful encouragement of spiritual learning and a deeply founded belief that each child is special- and they will be told that they are!
I am very excited to have you as part of the CTCS community. I believe in strong communication between parents, teachers and administrative staff, so please reach out to your child’s teachers and to me as much as you feel is needed. We are here for you and your child, your committed partners in providing them with the very best learning experience in the Yakima Valley!
