Christ the Teacher Catholic School Advisory Commission (CTAC) is consultative to the school administration, Principal and Pastor. The role of CTAC is to make recommendations and advise the school in areas of policy, planning, development, recruitment, public relations, and special projects.
Membership of CTAC is made up of 7-10 elected or appointed representatives as well as the Principal and Cathedral Pastor. Each elected or appointed representative serves a 3-year term. The terms are set so that there will be at least 2-3 memberships up for election or appointment each year. Commission members must have an interest in and commitment to Catholic Education and to the philosophy and mission of the school. CTAC members are representatives of the parents and the broader school and parish community. Elections for new members are held every spring. Any interested party must submit a letter of interest and intent to be considered for CTAC membership. Candidates are elected by anonymous ballot by the parents and guardians of Christ the Teacher Catholic School students.
CTAC meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month during the school year from 4:15-5:30 pm in the school library. CTAC meetings are open for anyone to attend and any changes to time and place will be announced in the weekly school newsletter. If anyone would like to address the CTAC commission, please contact the commission president or secretary about adding to the agenda. CTAC is NOT a dispute resolution commission; the role of CTAC is to assist in policy development and planning as a whole, not to deal with specific issues or grievances.
